Cookie Policy
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work properly, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners about how visitors use their site.
Cookies can be persistent (they remain on your device for a set period) or session cookies (deleted when you close your browser).
2. How we use cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies, split into two categories:
Essential cookies
These are necessary for the site to function. They cannot be switched off because without them we cannot remember whether you have already responded to the cookie banner.
Analytics cookies
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — which pages are most useful, where people come from, and where we could improve. These cookies are only set after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are placed.
3. Cookies we set
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
cookie_consent |
Stores your cookie preference (accepted or declined) so we don't show the banner on every page visit | 365 days | Essential |

_gid |
Google Analytics — distinguishes users within a 24-hour window | 24 hours | Analytics |
_gat |

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not share cookie data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-party services
Google Analytics
Google Analytics analytics are only loaded after you give consent. IP anonymisation is enabled, so your full IP address is never stored. Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months. For more information, see Google's privacy policy.
Cloudflare Turnstile
Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. Turnstile analyses browser signals to verify you are human without placing tracking cookies or using traditional CAPTCHAs. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
5. Managing your preferences
Cookie banner
When you first visit this site, a banner gives you the option to accept or decline analytics cookies. Your choice is saved for 365 days. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site — the banner will reappear.
Browser settings
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may affect how the site works. Browser-specific guides:
Google Analytics opt-out
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Our Privacy Policy contains further information about how we handle your data.
