Director-led product leadership, properly backed

Senior people at the top of every engagement, and the specialists, partners and research capacity underneath to get things built.

Who we are

Rosalyn Potts and Matthew Hodgkinson, directors of Dual Perspective

Dual Perspective was founded by Rosalyn Potts and Matthew Hodgkinson. Between them they have spent more than 30 years leading product, delivery and customer experience at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Sky, ASDA, Covéa Insurance and Leeds Building Society, with multi-million pound budgets and teams of 50 or more.

Rosalyn comes at product through the customer and the service behind it. Matt comes at it through user experience and how teams build. Between them, the product question and the delivery question get answered in the same room, which is where most programmes lose time.

We set the firm up to fix a pattern we kept seeing from the inside: roadmaps that swell, teams that stay busy, and money spent on things customers never use, because nobody senior enough was making the calls.

How we're set up

The question procurement always asks, answered before you have to ask it.

Leadership

A director leads every engagement

No pitch team, no handover to juniors once the contract is signed, and no account manager between you and the people making decisions.

Specialists

Named associates

Research, content design, data and accessibility specialists, introduced by name before they start. You can say no.

Research

Participation Studio

Our own research studio for user research, usability testing and patient and public involvement.

Build

Delivery partners

When a plan moves into sustained build, we work alongside established partners such as Hedgehog Lab, and hold the build to what was agreed.

Accountability

One point of responsibility

We stay accountable for the outcome, including work partners do. We never mark up their time invisibly or swap people without telling you.

Assurance

Ready for procurement

£2m professional indemnity insurance, NN/g UX and PROSCI change management certified, and references on request.

Where we sit on a programme

We don't bid for the build. We are the senior product view on your side of the table.

What we own

✓Discovery: what is actually happening across the journey, not what the org chart says happens
✓Service blueprints and target state design, frontstage and backstage
✓Decision quality: what to build, what to stop, what to sequence and why
✓Design authority: holding the implementation to the intent as it gets built
✓Operating model, governance and change adoption planning
✓Accountability for the outcome, including for work we bring partners in to do

What implementation partners own

→Engineering capacity and platform build
→Systems integration and migration at scale
→Sustained multi team delivery throughput
→Managed service and ongoing run

This split is deliberate. A firm that also wants the implementation contract cannot give you an unconflicted view of whether the implementation is the right shape. Because we do not bid for the build, our recommendation costs us nothing to make honestly.

Questions buyers ask

Who will actually lead our work?
One of our directors, named in the proposal, from the first call to the last. If specialists or partners join, you meet them first and the director stays accountable.
How big a programme can you take on?
We lead the product side of programmes of any size, and bring in specialists and delivery partners for the capacity underneath. Past work includes programmes with teams of 50 or more at J&J MedTech, Sky and Covéa.
Are you insured?
Yes. We hold £2m professional indemnity insurance. Certificates are available on request for procurement.
Can we take up references?
Yes. Ask and we will connect you with clients in your sector.

Tell us what's stuck

A few lines is plenty. A director will reply within one working day with an honest view on whether a Product Review is the right start.
